Darabiha

A private family archive that turns generations of scattered records into a searchable living tree, with controlled access, collaborative editing, and evidence-aware AI assistance.

Darabiha is a private, non-commercial family archive designed to make a large, evolving family history understandable and maintainable. It replaces a fragile collection of legacy records with one structured product where relatives can explore relationships, timelines, places, stories, and incomplete records without making the archive public.

The product offers Family, Tree, List, Timeline, Map, and Fill in views around the same source of truth. Search, branch folding, relationship navigation, member identity, multilingual records, and inline editing make the archive useful both for browsing and continued research. Password, private-link, and member access coexist with role-based editing, audited changes, private file storage, and cache boundaries designed for family data.

My contribution

I designed and built the product end to end: archive reconstruction, product model, graph schema, privacy and access system, visual and interaction design, full-stack implementation, AI archivist, data migration, testing, Cloudflare infrastructure, and ongoing operation. Family members remain the authority for their own history and contribute the records, corrections, stories, and photographs the product preserves.

AI-native workflow

Coding agents supported source reconstruction, data modeling, implementation, review, testing, and deployment. The in-product archivist can read multilingual evidence, reconcile people and relationships, and turn source material into audited changes without inventing missing facts. Product judgment, privacy decisions, source acceptance, verification, and release remained my responsibility.

The public product intentionally stops at a password gate. The archive itself, its records, and its family media remain private.
